Visit to Camberwell Green Retirement Village for Seniors Week

On October 7, Josh celebrated Seniors Week with a visit to Camberwell Green Retirement Village, Camberwell. Josh is pictured here speaking to the residents alongside the Village Manager, Kym Faulkner. Read Josh's media release about Seniors Week here.

Australian American Leadership Dialogue

On October 2 to October 5, Josh attended the Australian American Leadership Dialogue in Hawaii. As part of a bipartisan delegation, he participated in discussions about important regional issues affecting the bilateral relationship. These issues traversed the economic, political and security fields. Josh is pictured here with the delegation.

QArt Studio Catalogue Launch

On September 30, Josh spoke at the Christmas catalouge launch for the QArt Studio at Kew Courthouse. QArt Studio is home to many talented artists with a disability, their art work is in high demand in our local community. Josh is pictured here with Carolyn van Wamel QArt Studio Manager, Jan Rowlinson Supervisor and Juliet Payne from the QArt Studio shop.

Financial Services Lunch

On September 30, Josh hosted a lunch with members of the local financial services industry to discuss the Government's proposed Future of Financial Advice (FOFA) reform. Those present were keen to hear from the special guest Senator Mathias Cormann, Shadow Assistant Treasurer and Shadow Minister for Financial Services and Superannuation. Visit to The Compassionate Friends Victoria Inc.

On September 30, Josh visited The Compassionate Friends Victoria Inc. headquarters in Canterbury. The Compassionate Friends Victoria Inc. is an organisation that offers friendship and support to bereaved parents and siblings following the death of a family member. Josh is pictured with CEO, Anne Wicking.

Camberwell Greek Senior Citizens Club

On September 28, Josh visited the Camberwell Greek Senior Citizens Club, Camberwell. Josh met with many of  the club members and shared a beautifully prepared lunch with them. Kooyong Community Forum

On September 27, Josh held a Kooyong community forum at Our Holy Redeemer Hall, Surrey Hills. Together with the Hon Robert Clark, member for Box Hill and Attorney-General of Victoria, and Cr Nicholas Tragas, mayor of Boroondara, Josh heard from the community about issues important to them. Josh is pictured here speaking to the 100 strong crowd.

Lynden Aged Care

In September 27, Josh presented an Australian Flag to residents of Lynden Aged Care, Camberwell. Josh is pictured here with a number of residents and is holding the flag with board member Nino Rizio.

125th Year Celebrations at Auburn Bowls Club

On September 25, Josh joined members of Auburn Bowls Club for its 125th year celebrations. Before bending the knee on the greens for a few bowls, Josh joined club president, Alan Dalrymple, and president of Bowls Victoria, Graeme Husken, and many other members and visitors for a most enjoyable lunch. Josh is pictured here with other guests on the day.

Supporting Millennium Development Goals

On September 19, Josh met with the Rev Keith Briant from The Avenue Church of Christ, Surrey Hills, and Viv Benjamin from St Hilary's Kew and North Balwyn to discuss the progress of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) - a set of eight targets which aim to halve world poverty by 2015. Discussion focused on MDG7 target which is to halve the proportion of 2.6 million people living without sustainable access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation. Josh is pictured here with Viv and Keith in his Parliament House office in Canberra.
