Opening Mass for School Year at St Dominic's

On February 17, Josh attended Mass with the teachers, students and parents of St Dominic's Catholic Primary at St Dominic's Parish, Camberwell. Josh presented the school's student leaders with badges and presented the school with an Australian Flag. Josh is pictured here with Principal Tony Levett and students Zac, Tahni, Holly and Christopher.


Balwyn Traders Luncheon at Colombo's

On February 16, Josh attended a lunch for Balwyn Traders at Colombo's Family Restaurant, Balwyn. Josh spoke on a range of issue including the challenges facing small business. Josh is pictured here with radio personality, Graham 'Smokey' Dawson, and the owner of Colombo's, Bill Kurban.


Visit to Swinburne University

On February 16, Josh met with Chancellor Bill Scales, Vice-Chancellor Andrew Flitman and Executive Director Dr Michael Thorne of Swinburne University, Hawthorn. Josh discussed a number of the key challenges facing the high education sector. Josh is pictured here with Chancellor Scales, Vice-Chancellor Flitman and Executive Director Dr Thorne.

Sacred Heart Primary School visits Parliament House

On February 10, Josh met with grade five and six students from Sacred Heart Primary School, Kew, during their visit to Parliament House, Canberra. It was terrific to get so many interesting questions about parliament and our system of government. Josh is pictured here with an enthusiastic group of students.


Visit to Canterbury Primary School

On 7 February, Josh visited Canterbury Primary School for their first major assembly for the year and to present the school captains and other recipients with their leadership badges. Canterbury Primary has a wonderful history of over 100 years and a vibrant student body of nearly 600. Josh is pictured here school captains Lucas, Grace, Maddy and Jake and school principal Anne Tonkin.


John Alexander MP visits Kooyong

On February 2, Josh organised a function for members of local sporting clubs at Grace Park Lawn Tennis Club. The afternoon was a great opportunity to hear former tennis great and Member for Bennelong, John Alexander MP, speak about his sporting and political careers. John was formally ranked World No. 8 and Australian No. 1 in singles and helped Australia to win the 1977 Davis Cup. Josh and John are pictured here with the president of Grace Park, David Allison, former Wimbledon doubles champion, Paul McNamee, and the vice-president of Grace Park, Brian Gedge.

City of Boroondara Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony

On January 26, Josh welcomed proud new Australian citizens at the City of Boroondara Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony. The Ceremony also recognised the winner of the City of Boroondara Citizen of the Year, Norman Gale; winner of the Young Citizen of the Year, Daniel Cronin; and winner of the Boroondara Community Service Award, Robert Pettit. Josh is pictured with the family and colleagues of Daniel Cronin, the Young Citizen of the Year, who is currently overseas. Daniel is co-founder and Chief Executive of Step Back Think Inc, a not-for-profit organisation aimed at reducing levels of alcohol fuelled violence amongst young people.
